What location?

I have a number of great locations in the Traverse City area to choose from, depending on the look you are going for.

You can choose beachy, rustic and wooded, urban, or even your own home. I am happy to send you sample photos of various locations.

What to wear?

This is a big question for most people. First of all, and most importantly, I want you to be comfortable.

Secondly, I find it looks best if you keep things simple. Try to avoid large prints, stipes, sparkles, or graphic tees. 

Keep the bottoms simple ( jeans, khakis, black) and choose solid colors on top.

For groups, it looks better if you keep the tops in the same tonal family ( either cool tones or warm), so you can avoid looking too "matchy-matchy".  A mix of neutral tones ( off white, grey, blacks) always looks great.

I am also flexible if you want to try a couple of different looks during your shoot. Some families like to have fun and wear their favorite team/ school jerseys.

What about little children?

I LOVE working with small children ( it's the Aunt Diane in me). My goal is to put them at ease and to have fun with them.

You can help me by making sure they have their regular nap and mealtimes, and feel free to bring non- messy snacks and water for them to have during your session.agraph here.
